JOE FRUGAL: FREE Precious Places DVD & Pre Black Friday Deals Begin

Fisher Price found a new way to market new product lines to kids a few years back when they stuffed a DVD into the packaging of Planet Heroes toys.  The disc contained one episode.  Later, FP offered more episodes to order for free via their website.  This resembles the marketing campaigns of the early 80's where shows like He-man, Jem, and G.I. Joe were created as long form advertisements to sell toys.

Fisher Price continues this effort with a DVD giveaway for their Precious Places product line, a new princess toy line.  Simply fill out the form at this linked page, and they will mail you a DVD in 6 to 10 weeks. (PAGE EXPIRED)

Also, several pre Black Friday deals are starting to emerge, and it appears the rumors of $150 Blu-Ray players is true. 

This Saturday at 8am, Wal-mart will run several in store specials.  They will have a Sony Blu-Ray player for $148, an HP Laptop for $298, and the Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade console for $199 w/free $100 gift-card, among other specials.
