Week two saw a little better outing though not many people expected the Lane Train to derail against the Bruins at home. A full on train wreck is expected in Gainsville this weekend. The offensive explosion in Athens was also hard to believe between Georgia and SOuth Carolina. To put the 41-37 Bulldog win into context, South Carolina had not scored 37 points against Georgia in the previous four games combined. It took Georgia the previous three games to hit 41. With that here's a look at Week 3....

So week one might have helped you with an office pool, but it probably taught you a valuable lesson: Don't take me to the casino. Not a whole lot of time to spare this week....so I'll get right to it...

         The 2009 College Football season is finally here, and not a moment too soon. There are some intriguing matchups for Week One, with Georgia and Alabama facing huge non-conference showdowns, not to mention the opening of the Lane Kiffin Era at Tennessee and the Russ Huesman Era at Chattanooga. Leonard has his losers, so Webb will try to pick a few winners during the season, or at least doom a few teams to the Wright jinx.

I know Chattanooga isn't exactly a hot bed for the NBA, but I've been a fan for far too long and I couldn't help but chuckle a little to see that the Diesel has landed in Cleveland alongside LBJ/MVP (complete with the T-shirt to prove it)

         It's tournament time again, and the Chattanooga Mocs have put a little extra added excitment to the Big Dance. It's been a while since my brackets haven't been busted early on, turning my March Madness upside down. Nevertheless, I'll give you my take on the tournament with some fearless predictions on the big dance

     When it comes to sports, this is the most wonderful time of the year, and so far this year has been better than most. Locally, the high school football playoffs are in full swing, with several area teams still in the hunt for State Title hardware.

 We are almost half-way through the 2008 college football season, and as usual, the race to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game is still very much up in the air. Nashville, and not Gainsville or Athens is the new seat of power in the SEC East.
       Bobby Johnson has steered the Vandy ship past rough waters against Auburn to a 3-0 start in  SEC play. Believe it or not, in the always unpredicable SEC East, everyone still has a shot to wind up in Atlanta in December. Here I break down the one game for each team
that will make or break the SEC East.
