About me
 Renee LaSalle

Reneé LaSalle joined the News 12 team in June 2007 and immediately set out to get to know the Scenic City. She co-anchors WDEF News 12 at 6:PM & reports everyday on a variety of topics. Every week during the school year Reneé recognizes outstanding area teachers with the Golden Apple Award.

Reneé is a featured National Anthem performer and has volunteered with Ronald McDonald House Charities since 2000.

Before coming to the Tennessee Valley, Reneé spent two years as an anchor/reporter for WTOK in Meridian, Mississippi. While there she covered the trail and conviction of Edgar Ray Killen 41 years after the 1964 "Mississippi Burning" murders. She also followed the 2006 Alabama Church Arsons. Her favorite story was flying along the coastline just days after Hurricane Katrina on a recognizance mission with Mississippi's 186th Air Guard Unit. She also flew with the Unit on an F-15 re-fueling mission.

Reneé got her start in television covering football and basketball for WMFD in Mansfield, Ohio.

The 2003 Ohio State University graduate says having Christopher Reeve as her commencement speaker was especially poignant because four years prior she broke the same two vertebrae which caused his paralysis.

Reneé holds family & friends very close and enjoys spending time with them, working out, eating good food, playing with her Yorkie and reading in her spare time.

Broadcasting is a dream come true for Reneé. If you have a story idea send her an email or call the station. When you see her out and about - be sure to say "Hello!" and welcome her to Chattanooga.
